Upcoming photoshoot and have no idea what to wear? Check out these tips:
- Nap and Snack: Make sure kids are well-rested and fed before the shoot to keep them in good spirits.
- Parents, Stretch: There are some poses that may require throwing your kiddos up or chasing them around. Stretching will help prepare for the movement required to photograph children
- Bring Snacks and Water: Pack some non-messy snacks (granola, chips, etc) and water for the kids to keep them energized and hydrated during the shoot.
- Favorite Toys/Comfort Items: Bring along a favorite toy or comfort item to help soothe kids if they become anxious during the shoot.
- Plan for Breaks: Kids have shorter attention spans, so be prepared to take short breaks as needed.
- Patience: Expect kids to be kids. They may not always cooperate, but that's okay. Patience is key to capturing natural and candid moments.
- Accidents: If your child is young and may need multiple changes, bring some extra clothes and wipes.
- Special Needs: If your child has any special needs or disabilities, let your photographer know so they can plan accordingly.
- Do NOT upset your kids: Upset kids will result in photos you WILL NOT like. It's best to let them roam and be happy, then to force them to do something they aren't wanting to do.
